Our Favorite flea market in Austin. For $2 (parking donation), you can walk around for a few hours looking at a variety of booths with discount items. There are shaded areas and occasionally live music. They also have cheap beers and yummy street corn/food options. Great place to get some discount cowboy boots.

So this suggestion is a little outside Austin (not too far), but we love this idea... Pflugerville is a fun suburb of Austin with lots to do. We made this recommendation because it has a 3 mile trail with an actual SANDY beach area! Get some exercise, dip your feet in the water, and perhaps rent a kayak. Bring your fishing poles if you'd like.
