Here are moderately priced establishments which are fun too. These staff picks are places we love, which may not be the cheapest, but are worth visiting. Still, very affordable.
Tyson's Tacos
Open 24/7
You can get amazing craft tacos or basic ones for around $4 each. They are all delicious for any time of day. Literally. They are open 7 days a week for 24 hours a day. Have insomnia? Stop by at 3am and get your taco fix. They even give you fresh infused water (usually cucumber or orange) for free! Well worth the trip.
Nosh & Bevvy
English Pub
A great restaurant that offers British food with a Texas flair. Its comfortably lit, seating inside & outside, and a solid beer & liquor selection. The Fish & Chips is portioned well and cooked with clean fryer oil (you can see and taste clean oil). The shepherds pie is also a win. Owner Sam is a sweetheart. Open to 2am daily.
Far East Sports Bar

This is a relatively new bar located under an established Chinese & Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is always clean, properly lit, and has plenty of room. Very rarely do they get overcrowded (except for UFC fights). Lots of TVs for sporting events. They have over 12 beers on tap at a fair price. They also have a good selection of liquor, wine, and the rarely seen sake & soju which are hard to find in most bars.

Our favorite Indian food restaurant in Austin. The environment is clean and comfortable. Service is quick & friendly. The food is absolutely delicious every time. They also let you request different spice/heat levels. Many time you will see a row of cars around the building waiting to pick-up their order even though there is no drive-through. It is not the cheapest, but very affordable.
